The ASTEC SS250 Smart Station is designed to provide an incubator-like controlled environment to minimize stress on cells, and an ergonomic experience to minimize stress on the operator. Ideal for a variety of tasks including oocyte pick-up and embryo transfer, the Smart Station’s variety of configurable options are aimed at enhancing the quality of lab work by enhancing the user experience.

The workstation’s spacious, full-flat working surface is ideal for handling and observation; made of heated stainless steel with an integrated glass thermos-plate, the surface’s design allows culture dishes to slide smoothly, minimizing the risk of spillage. The height of the working surface is adjustable between 840 to 1090 mm. Circular arm openings, a large front window, and front-panel controls enable easy handling of equipment, and two side doors for facilitate access during daily operations like cleaning and disinfection. The Smart Station’s stand is motorized, and handlebars on each side ensure comfortable mobility. Large front door folds down for safe handling of loaded ET catheters, while side doors provide a convenient means of access for other laboratory consumables. An optional rear door is also available. A Utility Smart-Shelf on each side of the station increases usable space without compromising the main working area.

The Smart Station integrates with most stereo microscopes available on the market, offering seamless optical and illumination compatibility, and its design includes an eyepoint adjuster and long tilting trinocular for superior usability. The Smart Station is available with optional height-adjustable microscope heads and long tilting eyepiece tubes, allowing users to further configure their workspace for maximum flexibility and comfort. Atmospheric purity is maintained by integrated HEPA and optional VOC filters to maintain optimal air quality. CO2 gas is supplied through a port located underneath the chamber, with adjustable gas concentration settings ranging from 0.0 to 10.0%. An optional bracket for a CO2 gas tank adds further convenience. These design elements allow for efficient and reliable cell manipulation and observation in a CO2-controlled environment.

The SS250 Smart Station is a versatile addition to any laboratory. By replicating the natural conditions cells are accustomed to, the Smart Station helps prevent cellular stress. Customizable ergonomic features improve user comfort, freeing operators from everyday inconveniences so they can concentrate on their work.
