ASTEC’s Penguin Series incubators are water-jacketed incubators which are designed to offer superior stability and precision in cell culturing. A water-jacketed chamber provides consistent temperature control by using a surrounding layer of water, which acts as a buffer against fluctuations and external temperature changes. This method ensures uniform heat distribution throughout the chamber, significantly reducing the risk of condensation and maintaining over 98% humidity without compromising the culture media's osmolarity.
This series is available in 30-liter and 50-liter capacities, with infrared (IR) CO2 sensors. An additional galvanic battery O2 sensor for low-oxygen environments is also available. A compact design ensures the incubator occupies minimal space and consumes minimal energy while providing rapid gas and temperature recovery, especially with optional sub-divided inner doors made of either acrylic or stainless-steel framed glass.
The Penguin AQ series also includes Grade A stainless steel shelves and trays, an access port, and stackable options to maximize lab space. Additional optional features include a space-saving cart and interior chamber air filters for optimal air quality. Sound design fundamentals and a variety of options to suit particular needs make the Penguin AQ series a reliable and efficient solution for diverse cell culture applications.
