Alpha‑Tec’s MarScreen® is a quick and simple assay for testing fresh semen samples. Using a combination of antiserum to human IgA, IgG, and bead-conjugated IgG antibodies, MarScreen® can test for the presence or absence of antisperm antibodies (ASA) on the surface of sperm within minutes, making it an ideal tool for screening for immune-mediated male infertility or unexplained infertility in couples. MarScreen® can be used with direct and indirect testing methods. For direct testing, fresh ejaculate is used. Indirect testing requires a patient blood sample or serum.
